In partnership with Niverville Communities in Bloom and the Town of Niverville, the Memorial Forest in Hespeler Park and the Dog Park is accepting donations of memorial trees with plaques. Deadline: November 30th Pricing: $315 Tree Species Options: Discovery Elm Prairie Horizon Alder Delta Hackbury Greenspire Linden ABOUT THE MEMORIAL FOREST PROGRAM The Memorial Forest Program is an annual program that provides an opportunity for citizens of Niverville and abroad to commemorate the life of a loved one in a special way by planting a tree. A living tree symbolizes a new beginning and a living tribute. By planting a tree, you not only pay a significant tribute to a loved one or family pet who has passed, but you also benefit the community and the environment. At the base of every tree planted, a memorial plaque will be placed. Each plaque will read: In Memory of ______. Year of Birth & Death. By Donor _______. Located in both the southwest area of Hespeler Park and the Niverville Dog Park, the Memorial Forest is administered by the Town of Niverville Parks and Recreation. Purchasers have the option of planting their trees at either location. Who can participate? This program is not restricted to citizens of Niverville. Surrounding community members are welcome to participate. Family or friends living abroad may donate a tree in memory of a loved one or family pet who lived in Niverville or area. More than one tree may be planted in memory of an individual. Each donor is invited to both help plant the tree on an annual planting day in mid-May as well as participate in an annual dedication service that will be conducted in the Memorial Forest.
